Shirley Bassey, diva extraordinaire, famously sings “Diamonds are Forever” in her trademark bravura and it is a sentiment we most surely hope to live up to this year during our diamond anniversary, as 2026 marks 60(!) years since we first opened our doors to the public in October 1966 💎✨

With that in mind and with the wheels in motion for a summer events programme and big 60th birthday bash in October (ready those RSVPS!), we would like to bring to you, dear readers, a special kind of book group to celebrate being SE London’s longest running independent bookshop and to mark the passing of 60 years here in Sydenham!
